Course Description

Want to develop your improv skills?

In this collection we will cover the basics of how to combine melody, rhythm and harmony to create an improvised line. By utilizing material that I’ve created for beginners to improvisation, this collection will be easy and welcoming to all levels. By the end of Session 8, you will know how to sit at the piano and improvise while accompanying yourself with easy patterns in the left-hand. The only requirement to take this course is to know how to identify notes on the keyboard. You do not need to know how to read music. The techniques you learn here will apply to all styles of improvised music! If you’re looking for beginner piano lessons I would take a look at HomeSchoolPiano. New to improvisation? I would suggest that you first look at my Beginner Improvisation Boot Camp where you will learn a more simplified, step-by-step improvisation approach.
